Robert “Bud” Scharoun, age 92, life resident of Pulaski, passed away Wednesday at Francis House in Syracuse. Bud was born June 16, 1927 in Orwell, the son of Rupert and Dorothy Truax Scharoun. He graduated from Pulaski High School in 1945 and served in the United States Navy form 1945 until 1948. Bud was married to Dorothy Corbett Scharoun in 1968 and she passed away June 7, 2015. He was employed by the Oswego County Sheriff’s Department for 41 years. He also ran the snowmobile detail and marine patrol for many years. He was the master of ceremonies for the March of Dimes Variety Show at Pulaski High School for many years. Bud was an avid bowler and pool player. He was a member of the NYS Sheriff Benevolent Association.
Surviving are his son, Scott Scharoun and companion, Sabina Lorenc of Pulaski and two grandchildren, Dylan Scharoun of Pulaski and Kourtney Rindos Natarelli of Cape Coral, FL.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Monday, September 23rd at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski with burial in Pulaski Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be held Sunday, September 22nd from 3 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
