Joan F. McNitt, age 76, life resident of Pulaski passed away Thursday at Crouse Hospital in Syracuse. Joan was born October 24, 1943 in Pulaski, the daughter of Arthur and Florence May King Nutting. She graduated from Pulaski High School in 1961. Joan married Elmer LeRoy McNitt on October 15, 1962 and he passed away February 11, 1999. She was employed by the C&M Restaurant for 44 years. Joan was an avid Bingo player and volunteered at the Ringgold Field Days for many years.
Surviving are her children Rick (Linda) McNitt of Pulaski, Karen (Paul) Glenister of Pulaski, Rodney (Jodi) McNitt of Pulaski and Brian McNitt of Hastings, grandchildren, Kourtney (Rick) Oshier, Alicia (Matt) Richardson, Andrew (Katy) McNitt, Gabrielle Glenister, Megan (Jack) Himes, Adam McNitt, Kyle and Spencer Glenister, Matthew McNitt and Cory and Kierra McNitt, great-grandchildren, Madison, Ashleigh and Kayleigh Oshier, Grace, Eli and Claire Richardson, Jack and Louise Himes, Owen McNitt and Charlie McNitt, sisters, Grace Caufield of Sandy Creek, Joyce (Ken) Widrick of Adams, Barbara (Carl) Lehtonen of Central Square, Betty Jean Nutting of Sandy Creek and Darlene (Richard) Denny of Sandy Creek and her brother Bruce Nutting of Altmar. Joan was predeceased by several siblings and half-siblings.
Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family at Calvary Baptist Church in Pulaski with burial in South Richland Cemetery Fernwood. Arrangements by Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski.
A celebration of life reception will be held at 3 p.m., Monday, August 31st, at the Ringgold Field, Pulaski.
