Beverly R. Wilber, age 86, resident of Pulaski since 1995, previously of Altmar passed away Saturday at St. Camillus Nursing Home. Beverly was born June 14, 1934 in Syracuse, the daughter of Alfred and Laura Lincoln Ward. She graduated from Nottingham High School in 1952. Beverly married Ronald P. Wilber on February 1, 1957 and he passed away June 21, 1994. She was employed by the US Postal Service in Altmar for 22 years, retiring in 1997. She was a Tax Collector for the Village of Altmar for 16 years. Beverly was a member of the Pine Meadows Wesleyan Church, the Vorea Community Church and the Russell Tryon Post #1435 American Legion Auxiliary and the Kasoag Trailblazers Snowmobile Club.
Surviving are one son, Steven D. Wilber of Central Square, three daughters, Sherry Wilber Powell of Osceola, Karen (Michael) Finch of Pulaski, Betsy (David) Wheeler of Fayetteville, sister in-law Frances Ward, brother in-law William Massey, and 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Beverly was predeceased by her brother, Richard A. Ward.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 23rd at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski with burial in Riverside Cemetery Altmar. Calling hours will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the service.
