Spencer F. Trumble, age 79, resident of Altmar and Pulaski, passed away Sunday at Loretto Nursing Home in Syracuse. Spencer was born June 22, 1941 in Altmar, the son of the late Myrul and Gladys Trumble. Spencer was a 1951 graduate of the Altmar, Parish, Williamstown High School. He served two years in the United States Army from 1963 until 1965. Spencer was formerly married to Carol Percival and together they had one son, Michael. He was employed by Schoeller Technical Papers in Pulaski for 37 years, retiring in 2002. Spencer was a member of the Williamstown American Legion Post #1128.
Spencer was an excellent Scrabble player. He enjoyed camping, fishing, crossword puzzles and playing Bingo.
Surviving is one son, Michael Sean Trumble of Syracuse, ex-wife, Carol, one brother, Bernard (Alice) Trumble of Camden and two nieces, Cathy Cushman of Phoenix, NY and Tami Trumble of Williamstown and a great-niece, Natalie (Tyler) Curran of Phoenix and their children, Rhys and Rhianon and a great-nephew, Alexander (June) Cushman and their children, Grady and Conner of Westdale, NY. Spencer was predeceased by his older brother, Frank.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, January 16th at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski with spring burial in Riverside Cemetery, Altmar with military honors. Calling hours will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, prior to the service.
