Kyle J. McShane

On Sunday, January 17, 2021, Kyle Jeffrey McShane, loving son, brother, brother-in-law, friend, and mentor, passed away at the age of 32. Kyle was born on March 26, 1988 in Syracuse, NY to Mark and Victoria McShane. He graduated from Immaculate Heart Central High School in Watertown, NY in 2006 and attended Jefferson Community College. He made his career working for Terry Tree Service and Ironwood Heavy Highway LLC in Rochester, NY where he did land clearing and environmental matting for nearly thirteen years. He was an A-Foreman and a member of the IBEW Local 1249. Kyle loved his work running heavy equipment, something he had dreamed of doing since he was a small child. Kyle was an Eagle Scout and served for many years as a firefighter with the Lacona Volunteer Fire Department.

Kyle meant a great deal to all those who knew him. He was caring, kindhearted, considerate, thoughtful, genuine, selfless, in tune with his surroundings, and always upbeat. His smile, vigor for life and sense of humor had a way of lighting up a room when he entered that turned ordinary events into memorable experiences. He enjoyed boating, the finer art of drifting, a big bon fire, music, dancing, working in the woods, and being with friends and family.

Surviving are his parents, Mark and Victoria McShane of Lacona and his twin brother, Daniel (Emeline) McShane of North Syracuse, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, January 23rd at Christ Our Light Parish, 23 Niagara Street, Pulaski with spring burial in Pulaski Cemetery. Calling hours will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Friday at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski.

Donations in Kyle’s memory may be made to the Lacona Fire Department. 34 Maple Ave, Lacona, NY 13083.
