Obituary of Harold Hubbard
Harold Hubbard, age 96, resident of Pulaski, New York passed away on December 12th. He was born on December 17, 1920 in Alexandria Bay, New York the son of Claude and Ula Hubbard. Harold was raised in the Alexandria Bay area; moving to the Pulaski area in 1934. He married Marjorie Spoor in 1942. He was a member of the Fernwood Methodist Church. He served in the United States Army from 1944 until 1946. He worked for the Oswego County Highway Department from 1947 to 1958 when he purchased Bud Air Company and ran that company until 1972. He also served as an Assessor for the Town of Richland until retiring in 1984. He was a past Commander of the VFW in Lacona, New York and joined the Masonic Lodge in 1968; serving as Master in 1973. Harold and Marjorie wintered in Arcadia, Florida for several years. He was an accomplished woodcarver and he also knitted hats for Operation Christmas Child and the Syracuse Rescue Mission.
Survivors include: daughter, Jean DeLacey of Fort Myers, Florida; granddaughter, Lisa Sheeley (Jim) of Pulaski; grandson, Charles DeLacey of Cape Coral, Florida; five great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Marjorie in 2014; daughter, Linda, in 2012; grandson, William, in 2014.
A graveside service will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, April 28th, at Pulaski Cemetery. Arrangements by Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski, NY.
