Obituary of Robert Goudy
Robert “Rob” Scull Goudy, age 53, resident of Altmar, since 2007, formerly of Chestnut Hill, PA, passed away Friday, May 11, 2018. Robert was born January 2, 1965, in Philadelphia, PA, the son of Russell and Rebecca Scull Goudy. He graduated from Plymouth Whitemarsh High School in 1983 and attended Montgomery County Community College in Pennsylvania. Rob worked for the family business, Kilian Hardware in Chestnut Hill for over 20 years. He owned and operated Chestnut Hill Guitars, for 30 years. Rob authored the book “Electric Guitars”, published in 1999. Robert married Christine “Teana” Slater on September 18, 2010. He also owned and helped operate 11 North Bar & Grill, located in Pulaski. Rob was a long-standing member of US MX Motocross and a member of the Pulaski-Boylston Snowmobile Club. He loved walking his dogs Kashmir and Bella on his motocross track. Rob was a very kind hearted, gentle soul who will be missed greatly.
Surviving are his wife Teana of Altmar, parents, Russell Sr. and Rebecca Goudy of Chestnut Hill, two brothers, Russell Jr. and (Hope-Finola, Noëlle, Rowan) Goudy, of Chestnut Hill and Keith (Shelby-Oakley, Van) Goudy of Chicago, IL, father in-law, Michael Nolan Jr. of Collegeville, PA, one sister in-law, Jackie Slater (Tyler, Tiffany, Elijah) of Parish, one brother in- law, Michael Nolan III (Zane) of New Tripoli, PA.
A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, May 19th, at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski with burial at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, at the funeral home, prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be sent in Rob’s name to USMX, P.O. Box 164, Williamstown, NY, 13493, where it will be awarded to a rider who is attending college.
