Obituary of Erma Schroeder
Erma R. Schroeder, age 72, life resident of Richland, passed away Monday at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse. Erma was born December 22, 1945 in Richland, the daughter of Harry and Mabel Barker Potter. She graduated from Pulaski High School in 1964. Erma was married to Richard A. Schroeder in 1964 and he passed away in 2004. Erma was employed by Pulaski Elementary School and Richland Elementary School as a cafeteria worker for 35 years, retiring in 2003. She was a board member and member of the Richland Half Shire Historical Society.
Surviving are one daughter, Kathy (Jeff) Watson of Richland, one son Ritchie Schroeder of Fulton, companion, Dick Himes of Osceola, eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, two sisters, Evelyn Masuicca of Pulaski and Shirley Purvis of Vero Beach, FL, one brother and Charles Potter of North Carolina. Erma was predeceased by three brothers, Robert, Terry and Fred.
A celebration of life will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Monday, November 5th at the Half Shire Historical Society, 1100 County Route 48, Richland, NY 13144. Arrangements by Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski, NY 13142.
