Obituary of Marvin "Butch" Levack
Marvin E. "Butch" Levack, age 65, resident of Orwell for the last 40 years, passed away Monday at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse. Marvin was born January 13, 1953 in Elmira, the son of Carlton and Marilyn Hill Levack. He graduated from Elmira High School and from Wanakena Ranger School. Marvin was married to Sandra Marshall for 38 years. He was employed by Fulton Companies, retiring in 2018. He was also a water operator for the Town of Orwell. Marvin attended the Vorea Community Church.
Surviving are his wife, Sandra, one daughter, Andrea (Levi) Rudd of Boylston, five sons, Donald Derr (Tammy Crosby) of Orwell, Toby Levack (Sarah Collins) of Cookeville, TN, Patrick Derr (Anne McConnell) of Pulaski, Brian (Dawn Ogden) Levack of Orwell, and Russell Levack of Tully, two sisters, Danielle Kriel of Montour Falls and Mary Farrer of Elmira, two brothers, George Levack of North Carolina and Scott Levack of Elmira, and 15 grandchildren. Marvin was predeceased by one brother, Delos Levack.
Calling hours will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Monday December 10th at the Vorea Community Church, 12 Waggoner Rd., Orwell.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday December 11th at the Vorea Community Church,12 Waggoner Rd., Orwell, with a spring burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Orwell. Arrangements by Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski.
