Obituary of Leonard C. Strablo
Leonard C. Strablo, age 95, resident of Sandy Pond, passed away Sunday at his home. Leonard was born December 7, 1923 in Youngstown, the son of Christian and Laura Learned Strablo. He graduated from Sandy Creek High School and served in the United States Army from 1942 until 1945. Leonard was married to Ann Baker for 37 years and she passed away March 7, 2015. He was employed by various construction companies in Central New York as an operating engineer for over 30 years. He also owned and operated a farm for 80 years on County Route 15 at Sandy Pond. Leonard was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers for 65 years.
Surviving are one daughter, Roseann (Doug) Tryon of Tennessee, five granddaughters, Jennifer, Jessica, Laura, Sara and Samantha, and great grandchildren, Joshua, Lily, Madisyn, Liam and Alli.
Funeral Services will be held 3 p.m., Thursday, April 25th, at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street Pulaski with burial in Daysville Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday, prior to the funeral.
