Obituary of Gerald G. Archer, Sr.

Gerald G. Archer, Sr., age 88, life resident of Pulaski passed away Tuesday at his home. Gerald was born February 22, 1931 in West Martinsburg, NY, the son of Roy and Edith Denslow Archer. He graduated from Pulaski High School in 1949 and served in the United States Navy from 1951 until 1957. Gerald married Ann M. Vayo on May 6, 1953. He was employed by Lockheed Martin in Syracuse for 38 years, retiring in 1998. Gerald was a member of the Ringgold Volunteer Fire Department in Pulaski for 25 years.

 

Surviving, are his wife, Ann M. of Pulaski, one son, Gerold (Lisa) Archer, Jr., of Williamstown, four daughters, Gerry-Ann (Carl) Dashnaw, Juanita (Barry) Adydan, Theresa (Perry) Sheltra and Cindy (John) Paro all of Pulaski, 16 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren. Gerald was predeceased by one son, Lawrence Leonard who died in 1955 and one daughter, Donna Archer who died in 2004.

 

Funeral services will be held 12:30 p.m., Saturday, June 22nd at Christ Our Light Catholic Church, 23 Niagara Street, Pulaski with burial in Pulaski Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Friday from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street in Pulaski.
