Obituary of John E. Dinehart, Sr.
John E. Dinehart, Sr., age 90, resident of Seeber Shores since 1985, formerly of Liverpool, passed away Friday at Samaritan Keep Nursing Home in Watertown. John was born March 9, 1929 in Syracuse, the son of Reuben and Maude Dewey Dinehart. He attended Liverpool schools. John served in the United States Army during the Korean War from 1951 to 1952. He was married to Shirley LeFler on November 11, 1950. He was employed by Local Pipefitter & Plumbers #267 for over 50 years, and Kenneth A. Taylor Construction for 32 years. John owned and operated Seeber Shores Marina at Sandy Pond from 1970 until 2008. He was a member of Local Pipefitter & Plumbers #267 for 72 years.
Surviving are his wife, Shirley, two sons, John “Jack” (Susan) Dinehart and James “Jay” (Pamela) Dinehart both of Sandy Creek and one daughter, Shelley (Elvin) Tryon of Sandy Creek, seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 3:30 p.m. Saturday, March 7th at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski with spring burial in Pulaski Cemetery. Calling hours will be held from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. prior to the service.
