Obituary of James R. Johnson
James R. Johnson, age 86, life resident of Pulaski, died peacefully Wednesday at home with his family by his side. James was born October 5, 1934 in Pulaski, the son of Earl and Marjorie Armstrong Johnson. James graduated from Pulaski High School in 1951 and attended Alabama Crimson Tide. He served in the United States Air Force from 1952 until 1957. He owned and operated Earl’s Restaurant in Pulaski for 34 years, retiring in 2001. James was a member of the Pulaski Masonic Lodge #415 and a member of the Shriner’s Watertown Chapter.
Surviving are his companion Sherrie Miles of Pulaski and two daughters, Kathy (Kenny) Wagler of Georgia and Terrilee Johnson of Pulaski and one son James R. Johnson II of Central Square and six grandchildren. James was predeceased by one daughter, Susan and his sister Linda Myers and brother Earl Johnson, Jr.
A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski.
