Obituary of Shirley M. Dinehart
Shirley M. Dinehart, age 89, resident of Pulaski, formerly of Sandy Creek, passed away Saturday at her home. Shirley was born May 13, 1932 in Syracuse, the daughter of Kenneth and Katherine Van Slyke Lefler. She attended Syracuse schools. Shirley was married to John Dinehart on November 11, 1950 and he passed away February 28, 2020. She was employed by Heid’s Restaurant and the Bonanza Restaurant, both in Liverpool, for many years. Shirley also owned and operated Seeber Shores Marine with her husband for 38 years, retiring in 2009. For many years Shirley volunteered at the Sandy Creek Friendship Shop.
Surviving are two sons, John “Jack” (Susan) Dinehart of South Carolina and James “Jay” (Pamela) Dinehart of Sandy Creek and one daughter, Shelley (Elvin) Tryon of Sandy Creek, seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren and one brother, Richard Lefler of Syracuse.
A memorial service will be held 12:30 p.m. Saturday, June 26th, at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street Pulaski with a burial in Pulaski Cemetery. Calling hours will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday prior to the service.
