Obituary of Earl Davidson
Earl Davidson, age 78 resident of Pulaski formerly of Altmar and Florida died Friday at Oswego Hospital. Earl was born February 8, 1931 in Altmar, the son of Rufus and Margaret Berry Davidson. He graduated from Altmar Union School in 1948. Earl married Nancy Sampson, August 16, 1980. He was employed by Schoeller Paper Co. in Pulaski for 25 years, retiring in 1983. He served in the United States Air Force from 1948 until 1952. He also served in the National Guard from 1952 until 1975. Earl was a member and past commander of Russell Tryon Post # 1435 American Legion, Altmar, former Chief and member of Defiance Fire Department, Altmar. He was also a Tax Assessor for the Town of Altmar and he was a founder and charter member of NOCA. Surviving: wife, Nancy E., three sons, Robert E. Davidson of Central Square, Shaun M. Barker of Camden, Craig D. Barker of Parish, four daughters, Suzane Holcomb of Rochester, Marsha A. Sottung of Pulaski, Rachael Pelow of Mexico, Nikki Rahn of Dettowa, FL, and one sister Beulah Nealy of Syracuse, 19 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home 52 Park Street, Pulaski with burial in Riverside Cemetery, Altmar.
